Moulin de Passais

Tucked away in the quiet countryside of Normandy, Moulin de Passais is a hidden gem for anglers seeking a peaceful and rewarding fishing experience in Northern France. The lake sits beside a carefully restored 19th century mill house, creating a calm and scenic setting.

The Fish
The lake holds a strong stock of carp, all in excellent health thanks to clean, well maintained water. These fish are known for their power and fight. There are around 180 carp, including two over 50lb, around 25 over 40lb, and roughly 80 over 30lb.

Bait
All bait is available to purchase on-site at fair prices. This helps manage what goes into the water and keeps conditions consistent. Guests must use bait supplied at the venue. Homemade bait is not permitted. Pre-ordering is required so everything is ready for your arrival.

The Cottage Accommodation
The on-site cottage is warm and practical, ideal for relaxing after a day on the lake. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor barbecue for use during warmer months.

The cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests. There are two bedrooms. One has a double bed and a double sofa bed. The second has a double bed that can be split into two singles, plus an additional single bed. The lounge also has two large sofa beds. There are two bathrooms, including one en-suite.

Hand towels are provided. Please bring your own bath and shower towels.

A complimentary bag of logs is supplied for the wood burner on arrival. Extra bags are available for 5€.

Check-in is from 2pm. Check-out is by 10am. Early arrivals and late departures are not available.

Local Area
A welcoming bistro run by English and French owners is located in the nearby village, just a short drive or a 20-minute walk. It serves simple meals such as pizza, burgers, and pasta, with takeaway options available.

The town of Domfront is about 12 minutes away and offers a selection of bars and restaurants. Gorron, also around 12 minutes away, has a bar and restaurant where you can find English breakfast options.

For essentials, there is a small Proxi shop in Passais village, only a couple of minutes away, though prices are slightly higher than larger stores.

Nearby supermarkets include Super U in Gorron, Intermarché in Domfront, and Leclerc in Flers, which is about a 30-minute drive.
