The stock is truly amazing here at Carp Somnium, we have around 100 carp hand selected from a reliable French fish farmer. With a couple of stockings and lots of patience we have left the carp to grow in peace and we expect a few real gems to be over the magical 60lbs for 2026. It’s amazing to watch them thrive in a new environment. The lake has never been fished commercially so there really is a sense of mystery when you fish at Carp Somnium.
