Lac Olivia Carping Rules
General rules for the site
Care of our fish is of the utmost importance, therefore please read through our rules and adhere to them!
- No fish to be sacked for any reason
- No fish to be lifted out with the net, always use the retaining slings
- Carp care or it’s equivalent to be used on any injuries before returning the fish to the water
- All fish over 40lb are to be photographed in the water
- NO Braided Mainline. Minimum 15lb mono to be used
- Minimum 600mm Rig Tubing to be used on all rods
- Hooks – Barbed or Micro-Barbed only
- Never leave rods unattended- even to go to the toilet
- All wet gear will be supplied by Lac Olivia and MUST be used – Weigh slings, Landing Nets & Un-hooking Mats
- Waders are a necessity for photographing carp over 40lb
- NO Shelf Life Baits
- NO Plastic Baits
- NO Nuts
- Only Particle supplied by Lac Olivia can be used
- Bait Boats are permitted
- NO Fires / BBQ’s bankside
- NO using the woods as a toilet
- Rubbish – there are bins provided for recycling material, but general waste must be taken away with you
- Arrival Time – 2pm / Departure Time – 10am
- Any disregard for the rules or aggressive behaviour will result in you being asked to leave.
