La Loubiere Carping

La Loubiere is 37 acres of wild banks and tranquillity. This is a natural looking lake with a very high stock (approximately 750 carp). The lake carp record is 74lbs and the average is 30lbs. There are at least twenty fish that are over 50lbs and seasonally six can be over 60lbs. Multiple catches are made here and we class it as an action water but with lots of space for groups of up to 10 anglers. It is not uncommon to have 30 fish each a week.

The lake bottom is generally made up of sandy margins with a silty bottom and therefore very rich in naturals. The fish here do very well and are always searching for food. Depths range from 2-10 feet deep with an average of 5.5-6ft. There are lots of natural marginal reedbeds that always fish well which makes the fishing more interesting as the carp are constantly moving zones.

Boats are available for hire from the owner should you wish to explore or bait more heavily in your area. Most swims can be accessed by vehicle except possibly 6&7 which can be accessed via boat or walking if wet in early season.

Facilities
There is a shower, toilet and washing up area. Also, fridge freezers for food and bait, plus electricity points for charging your electrical equipment. Local shops and amenities are a ten minute drive away.

A food package is also available on site (ordered prior) which contains a breakfast and an evening meal.
