Furet Carping

Furet is an ancient lake (400 years old). It is super rich in natural life including the many big carp. Furet contains approximately 350 carp up to 70lbs with a huge head of 40lb plus fish, so it’s a great social venue with the chance of a new PB. The average is currently 35lbs plus and the lake receives new stockings most winters with hand selected carp added to your pleasure including many linears and fully scaled fish to join the existing stunners.

The lake is approximately 25 acres (ideal for 4-7 anglers) and has two new lakeside VIP cabins. Depths range from 4-5 feet as an average and similar to many lakes in the region the lakebed is made up of sandy/gravel deposits with silty areas in the middle.

The swim structure has been changed for 2024. There are two luxury cabins with swims and now just 3 bivvy swims opposite.  Less anglers and more room.

The lake is located in Thaumiers (department 18). It’s just over 4hrs from Caen or just under 6 hrs from Calais.

The Lodge

• Luxury static mobile home with two bedrooms, each with 2 single beds
• Full kitchen, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, TV and heating
• No shower or toilet. This is two mins walk away in the main shower block
• BBQ terrace, also an outside cabin for relaxing by the water
• On-site at the shower block there are additional charging points and a freezer for storing bait or food.

The Loft

• Huge swim for up to 3 anglers
• Luxury static mobile home with two separate bedrooms that can sleep up to 4 adults
• Full kitchen and dining area, showers and a toilet
• Decked area outside the lodge is for eating and relaxing
• Bedding, duvets and linen can be included.
