Creuse Carping Rules
General rules for the site
- Barbecues are allowed on the site but no fires
- Swimming strictly prohibited
- Dogs under control only, pick up dog droppings
- Visitor parking at the designated places, access path reserved for fishermen
- All rubbish to be taken off site please. The post must be left clean (waste, cigarette butts, etc.)
- A compost toilet is on site please keep clean.
Entry to site is at 12.00 Midday and departures please before 11am.
Fishing Rules
- Boats, dinghies and bait boats authorised.
- Fishing only for Carp and Roach on the float. No predator fishing
- 4 rods maximum per fisherman
- No braided leaders. Braided main lines and hooklinks are strictly prohibited
- Nylon mainline 15lb (0.30mm) minimum
- Hook sizes 6-2 maximum
- Only well-cooked seeds are authorised (corn, hemp, wheat). Tiger nuts, peanuts, chickpeas and peanuts are strictly prohibited, frequent checks. Maximum 10kg per person per week.
- No leadcore, bent hooks, all leads must fall off easily. Please cut clips down a bit if you wish to use lead clips. Safety please always. You will land more carp if you lose the lead on the take
- It is tolerated to wade if you wish up to the waist to carry out casting or baiting
- A landing net and a large landing mat are mandatory
- Photos taken quickly, obligatorily on your knees and desirable in the water from June to September for the well-being of the fish
- In case of high heat, the owner can reduce the quantities of baiting up feed and will inform you as soon as possible.
- No self hooking devices
Suggested Tackle
- Carp care treatment
- Wear a life jacket as the use of the boat is 100% your responsibility
- Plenty of bin liners for all of your rubbish. All you bring must be taken off site with you. Everything as per the UK is recycled in France. You will find glass and plastic recycling in local communes at bottle bank zones.
Please Note
- Whilst no one like rules they are in place to ensure your holiday is as good for the next group as it was for you
- If you do break rules the lake owner may cancel your holiday and your deposit will not be returned
- A security deposit may be required on SOME of our venues, this will be taken by us to avoid you taking additional cash or in-case you need to leave early, convenient for everyone
- This will be refunded in full subject to deductions for any breakages or extra cleaning costs incurred if the accommodation or fishing areas is deemed dirty / uncleaned or left in a poor state
- All our venues are private property, lake owners businesses please respect the site as it were you own and leave it as you found it. Thank you.
