Carptopia Rules
General rules for the site
- Every angler must have waders for photos as all fish are to be handled in the water
- All photos of the fish must be taken with the angler in the water with our supplied Solar blow up mats
- All fish handling / photos to be done in the water
- No retaining carp more than 10 minutes. NO overnight captures to be retained!
- (Lifetime ban and loss of booking if caught)
- We supply slings and mats
- Just bring your nets. DIP TANK ON ARRIVAL
- WE DO NOT supply engines or batteries for boats. PLEASE BRING THESE ITEMS, IT’S A BOAT WATER
- Access to swims and June-Oct weed is in most areas so bait placement or freeing fish if weeded up is essential
- Bring your own life jackets
- 4 rods each per person
- Braided line can be used (min 0.32 diameter)
- Mono/fluro (min 0.38 diameter)
- All leads MUST be able to detach EASILY with a shake of the rig (i.e. helisafes, cut down lead clips, hit-n-run systems)
- Micro barbed only hooks
- Bait boats and your own boats are permitted
- Pole markers only, no H-blocks or line markers permitted. (Atropa markers available to hire on site. 10 euros for 2, per week)
- Tiger nuts as we all know they are good. No other nuts allowed
- We will allow 1 x tin/small jar per swim if you wish to use them as hook baits or a small trap. But not for feeding
- Particle (max 10kg, per angler, per week). Maize, hemp, parti-mix only. NO nuts except for hookbaits
- NOTE: noise is always hard to control over water, but please no shouting across the lake and no loud music
- NO Fires
- Gas BBQ or cookers only, (NO open flames)
- No DOGS on site
- All rubbish to be taken with you on departure. If you bring it, take it away please.
